Read it

With his arrogance and insularity, he has diminished us all, and the nation he supposedly serves. This country was founded by rich men, but they were rich men who forged tools that allowed for the greater benefit of many people utterly unlike themselves. This rich man places his own interests first and foremost. He has sown nothing but discord and chaos. He has surrounded himself with people whose contempt for the laws and founding documents of this country is unremitting. They work against me and mine every day.

So read the list of charges brought against that Eighteenth century despot and see if there isn’t some flash of recognition. There was for me; and with it, a lump in my gut. I’m pretty sure it was shame.
