He’s, kind of the classic look and only about the size of a softball. Still it’s been years since I carved one. Now he’s sitting in my front window looking out on the street. The kids on our block have given up on our building years ago, so the bell doesn’t ring. That’s ok – I don’t have any candy around anyhow. Now to curl up with some kind of horror movie and toast some seeds.

Stillness…

Oh my. I’ve ping-ponged between meetings all day. Productive ones to be sure, but exhausting. Everything I do reminds me of something else I need to do. I can sense a certain person on the west coast rolling their eyes right now, especially after our talk. There probably are a bunch more of you all that I can’t sense doing the exact same thing. After all I have only limited psychic abilities. At least I’m taking photos and making some art. I better do so since I’m now pretty much one month away from a show which is shaping up to be bigger deal than I thought.

After a month of use I can pretty much endorse the iPhone – It’s certainly the best PDA I’ve ever had, and I’ve had one ever since the Newton was introduced.

A lot of night pictures lately.

Caught up on laundry today. And went to work clearing work space. And taking steps to fulfill a commission I just received. There’s so much that needs taking care of, it’s a little daunting. But given how much I’ve either been away or booked up lately, it’s been wonderful to spend the weekend close to the house, concentrating on my upcoming projects.

i’m in the midst of reading Obama’s first book and beyond anything else, it’s remarkable to think about having someone in high office who can actually construct his own evocative sentences and is willing to publicly admit to being a jerk as a teenager. I’d just assumed that it was another “heartwarming” political memoir, but there are some real insights, well expressed in the book. The questions about the uncomfortable indeterminacies of the multi-racial also hit home with me.
