Social life…

I can be happy to see everyone at the opening, and still not want to be there. I can use the stuff on my desk and still not want it to be spilling over in heaps. I can be grateful for my life and still experience it as convoluted, broken terrain.

Confirmed…

At dinner last night my friend Lynne Tillman spoke about Zeno’s Conscience as “a book that you could only read ten pages of at a time”. This confirmed my own method of reading it.

Also at dinner I ran into ld Benghtol, who confirmed that the magnetic fields’ song Let’s Pretend We’re Bunny Rabbits is indeed about some of my work. I thought he had just been saying that to be nice.

Attempting to confirm dates for last night led me to realize that I had a couple of appointments reversed.

It’s good to confirm.
